What happens when people of different backgrounds, beliefs and experiences share the same moment?
This question forms the foundation of VEIL’s first edition. Under the theme Art for Connection, we explore what it means to come together in a time increasingly defined by division — and how art and shared experiences might sharpen our senses, shift our perspectives and allow us to connect beyond our differences.
This November, VEIL brings this question to the table.
Across two evenings, five artistic works unfold alongside five culinary responses. Each work is revealed before the course it inspires, allowing art to move beyond observation and into taste, sound and connection.

ART FOR CONNECTION
We live in a time of growing polarization. Differences in belief, background and perspective increasingly define how we relate to one another — often leaving little space for curiosity, exchange or genuine encounter. VEIL I was conceived as a response to this distance.
With Art for Connection, we explore the ability of art to create a common ground without demanding a common point of view. Art can confront, unsettle, move and invite us to see through another perspective. It does not need us to agree. It simply asks us to experience.
By bringing different people, artistic practices and perspectives into one shared space, VEIL I considers whether the act of experiencing something together can, even momentarily, bring us closer.
