Ilja Kolosovs is an audiovisual artist whose practice moves between sound, moving image, technology and installation. Through experimental and often immersive approaches, his work explores the relationship between digital systems, perception and the environments we inhabit. For VEIL I, Ilja extends his practice into the sonic landscape of the evening. As VEIL’s Sonic Director and DJ, he works closely with the participating artists to shape a sound world that responds to their works and connects the different moments of the experience. Sound becomes a continuous thread throughout the evening — shifting between atmosphere, intervention and performance, and bringing the individual works into dialogue with one another.
